Born of Mother Africa, raised on Sun Records and schooled in the glow of an AM radio dial, listening to my parent's vinyl records was my daily entertainment from an early age.
It was the the mid-seventies but Elvis was still boss of our turntable, closely supported by Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash. The first record I played when I could reach the turntable was "King Creole" by the King himself. I recall being completely overawed by the amazing noises eminating from the 1960's era 'Phillips' speaker. Early exposure to these icons of Rockabilly still influences my songwriting and instrumental playing style.
Music remained a faithful friend through all the ups and downs of life in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa and Namibia and then on through a few years travelling in Europe.
After settling in Australia I became a family man and enjoyed a career in the NFP sector while continuing to expand my musical knowledge. As I gained valuable performance and songwriting experience with a range of talented individuals and bands, I started building a small instrument tutoring business. I now devote all my time to sharing musical knowledge and creating opportunities for my students to grow and spread their musical wings. My vision is simple - Music is for Everyone!
