Q: Are you the best teacher for me?
A: Think of me as guide on your musical journey. Together we will learn your choice of songs - and every song will teach you something new. If your think that this collaborative approach will suit you, please contact me.
Q: Is there any easy way to progress quickly?
A: Yes! Using the 3 Ps - Patience, Persistence and Practice. Invest just ten minutes a day and you will progress quickly.
Q: Do I need to learn how to read music notation?
A: No. You will learn by ear - you won't need to read music.
Q: How long will it take me to learn my instrument?
A: The good news is that you alone are in charge of your progress. It is important to acknowledge that nobody ever stops learning - it really is a journey and not a destination.
Q: Do I have to commit to a minimum number of lessons?
A: No. life is complex and I guarantee flexibility. No lesson, no fee.
Myth: I won’t be able to learn an instrument as I don’t have any ‘natural talent'.
Truth: Not required - all the greats started in the same way as you and then kept going using the 3 Ps - Patience, Persistence and Practice. Like anything in life, the more you put in, the more you get out. A fourth P - Positivity will add even more to your success.
Myth: I won’t be able to learn by ear as I am ‘tone deaf'.
Myth: Music is only for those who study at University and become professional musicians.
Truth: Music Is For Everyone, no matter where you are in life. The main barriers to starting are those created internally. "If you think you can't, you can't."
