Intro To Bass Guitar
Bass: the beating heart of music! For beginners, this fun course teaches absolute basics, scale patterns, famous songs and much more. From super cool Walking Bass to driving Rock, toe-tapping Rockabilly and Classic Country, there's something for everyone. NB you will play with a pick, not traditional finger-style bass. Intro To GarageBand
With Apple's GarageBand, creating any audio project is rewarding and fun. Learn to record vocals, produce ringtones, multi-track songs and even podcasts! Powerful inbuilt instruments and effects make your laptop a portable recording studio! Sign up to master the basics, create original projects and understand the requirements for home recording.
Students who complete this course will:
- Gain an understanding the workings and capabilities of GarageBand
- Learn how to start a range of audio projects with existing templates
- Become acquainted with basic audio recording, mixing and mastering
- Be guided through the added requirements for a basic home recording set-up
- Have fun and learn in a collaborative and supportive environment

Songwriting II - Theory Into Practice Workshop
Our first practical songwriting workshop on Saturday 15 November was very successful. Once the nerves settled, all freely shared their ideas, lyrics, works in progress and completed songs. Feedback from the group was invaluable and all participants were able to develop their ideas further. Collaborations were formed and are set to continue. It gave me great pleasure watch creativity in action and new songs come alive. Thank you to all participants who generously shared their musical, lyrical and vocal abilities.
